The origin of the assembly line!

In 1769, the Englishman Josiah Wedgwood opened the Etruscan ceramics factory and carried out a fine division of labor on the field. he divided the pottery-making process originally completed by one person into dozens of special processes, each of which was completed by a special person. 

In this way, the original "potters" no longer exist, and only the potters such as dredgers, dredgers, earthworkers, blank makers, and so on, have become workers in the pottery workshop, and they must work at a fixed pace and obey unified labor management. 

(from the above information, it can be clearly seen that Wedgwood's working method can be defined as an "assembly line". 

On the other hand, Henry Ford invented the assembly line assembly process, which is obviously not accurate, because Henry Ford was born in 1863, more than 90 years later than Wedgwood lived. 

Advantages of assembly line

1. Integrate the production process, and a variety of stations can be arranged on the assembly line to meet the production demand. 

2. With high scalability, an assembly line that meets the production requirements of the product can be designed according to the needs of the factory.
